Angelina Bostock has been named the valedictorian for the Class of 2026 at NAHS, earning the highest academic honor following an exceptional high school career defined by leadership, scholarship, and community impact, according to an announcement from the school.
Bostock will continue her academic journey this fall at Fairfield University, where she has been accepted into the honors program to major in behavioral neuroscience.
“Her time at high school highlights a remarkable dedication to both school culture and athletics, serving as the president of the National Honor Society, president of Active Minds, the
Executive Board Senior Delegate for the Student Council, and captain of the Girls Varsity Soccer team,” the announcement read. “This balance of rigorous academics and active leadership has earned her numerous prestigious accolades, including the Harvard Prize Book Award, the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Certificate of Academic
Excellence, and recognition as an AP Scholar with Honor. Her well-rounded achievements are further underscored by the Massachusetts State Seal of Biliteracy, membership in the National & World Language Honor Society, and athletic distinctions as both a Hockomock League Girls Soccer All-Star and a North Attleboro Hockomock League Honors Scholar-Athlete.”
Bostock credits her academic drive to her older sisters, Sofia and Juliana, who served as role models by demonstrating a strong work ethic, while balancing responsibilities and a social life.
“Fall in love with being busy. Instead of only putting time towards academics or other responsibilities, fit things you enjoy into your schedule, like hanging out with friends,” she said. “That might mean less downtime, but keeping days exciting is key to enjoying your high school experience while staying productive.”
Grounded in a philosophy of empathy and openness, Angelina reflects on her most valuable high school lesson with a perspective that will carry forward to her studies of human behavior: “Simply being open-minded and friendly to everyone is all it takes to form new relationships with people who you’d least expect.”
Madhu Hasini Nagunoori has been named the salutatorian for the NAHS Class of 2026, capping off a distinguished high school career marked by academic excellence, scientific curiosity, and deep community involvement, according to the announcement.
She will continue her academic journey this fall at the University of Massachusetts Lowell Honors College, where she plans to major in applied biomedical sciences with a pre-med concentration.
Throughout high school, Nagunoori demonstrated leadership and a commitment to service, volunteering her time at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, participating in regional and state science fair research projects, and founding both the Environmental and Bollywood Dance clubs.
“A dedicated practitioner of Bharatanatyam classical dance, her well-rounded character is matched by an exceptional academic record that includes being a member of the
National Honor Society, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and receiving the 2025 MASS Academic Achievement Award, the Bausch + Lomb Honorary Science Award, the College Board National Recognition Program Award, and the Seal of Biliteracy in Hindi, alongside numerous course-specific accolades spanning math, science, and the humanities,” stated the announcement.
Nagunoori draws her ultimate inspiration from her mother, whom she regards as her role model for balancing professional and personal responsibilities.
Reflecting on her journey, Nagunoori reminds her peers to remain grounded and generous, advising that even when things do not go as planned, use what is there to create opportunities for others.
To incoming freshmen facing the inevitable shifts of high school, the 2026 salutatorian offers, “Sometimes circumstances are in your favor and things are easy and work out perfectly. But sometimes things are difficult and nothing works out, no matter what you do. Circumstances always change. But you don’t. Don’t lose your confidence or your hope. Keep putting your best foot forward.”
