The RI Hockey Hall of Fame (RIHHOF) has announced the names of nine Rhode Island High School senior ice hockey players who will receive $1,000 scholarships to help defray their post-high school educational costs. Among them is Jeffrey Larson of North Attleborough, who plays for Providence’s Moses Brown School and will be attending Boston College.

All senior boys and girls ice hockey players competing in the R.I. Interscholastic League were eligible to apply. Applications were reviewed by a select panel of RIHHOF board members.

“It’s an honor to recognize the outstanding academic, athletic, and community service achievements of Rhode Island’s high school senior ice hockey players,” said Hall of Fame founder and board Chair Vincent Cimini. “In just its second year, the R.I. Hockey Hall of Fame’s scholarship program is helping to shine a light on the important role the sport of hockey plays in the fabric of communities across the state. Through the generous support of our contributors, the scholarship program helps connect past, present, and future generations of hockey players. Something we’re very proud of at the Hall of Fame.”

The RIHHOF is supported by RI Hockey, Inc. and the RI Reds Heritage Society, along with the many hockey fans across the state who help fund the scholarship program.

The other Class of 2026 RIHHOF scholarship recipients are Madeline Ammatuna, Wyatt Gelzhiser, Ava Lourenco, Noelle Pezzelli, Emily Raimondi, Brady Scanlon, Declan Sullivan and Jacob Sylvester.
