Representative Elizabeth “Betty” Poirier, on behalf of D.A.N.A. (Downtown Associates of North Attleboro) would like to announce D.A.N.A.’s North Attleborough Tree Lighting Event with Santa accompanying Rep. Poirier’s Food Drive to benefit Lenore’s Pantry.
This Sunday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m., D.A.N.A. will hold its Tree Lighting Event with Santa Claus which will be held at the North Attleborough Town Hall, near the Gazebo.
“I would like to encourage all families to come out and share in our Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa,” said Poirier. “All families are encouraged to come and view the tree lighting as well as have the children view Santa. Also, we are hoping that each family can bring a non-perishable food item (or more) to be donated to Lenore’s Food Pantry which serves our friends and neighbors who need assistance during this time; especially during this holiday season.”
Unfortunately, due to this pandemic, viewing will be ‘as a drive-by’ scenario or with practiced social distancing with masks. Also, due to the pandemic, there will be no direct visits with Santa.
For anyone who is willing and able to provide non-perishable food items, for Lenore’s Pantry, there will be buckets located at the following locations:
- Tree near Gazebo, at the North Attleboro Town Hall
- In front of Community School (please drive your vehicle to the front of the Community School, where you may either drop your donated items into the provided buckets or someone will come to your vehicle and remove the items from your trunk or back seat – no contact)
- North TV – a bucket will be located in front of the building for one week
- Laughing Shield Comic Shop – a bucket will be located in front of the building for one week
Please come out and share in this wondrous experience of D.A.N.A.’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa this Sunday, beginning at 4 p.m. located at the North Attleborough Town Hall by the Gazebo. Also, please bring a non-perishable food item (or more) to assist our friends and neighbors who need assistance during this pandemic but especially during this holiday season.
