Town Manager Michael Borg and Director of Veterans Services Scott Smith invite residents to join town officials in honoring those who lost their lives while serving their country at North Attleborough’s 2026 Memorial Day ceremony on Saturday, May 23, beginning at 10 a.m. at Barrows Veterans Memorial Park, 76 South Washington St.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will occur inside the Community School auditorium, 45 S Washington St.
The ceremony will feature several distinguished guests and representatives from various military branches and organizations. The ceremony is scheduled to begin promptly at 10 a.m. at Barrows Veterans Memorial Park, with welcoming remarks from Smith. Father Kevin Deeley, Commander, U.S. Navy Chaplain Corps Retired, will lead attendees in an opening prayer.
Bishop Feehan High School and North Attleborough High School will perform several musical pieces, including the National Anthem.
Lt. Gen. John Broadmeadow, USMC (Ret.), will deliver the keynote address. Following a nearly 40-year career in the Marines, Lt. Gen. Broadmeadow retired in 2020 as a three-star general. He returned to his alma mater, Norwich University (Class of 1983), upon his retirement from the Marines to serve as the school’s 25th president.
