Disabled American Veterans meeting notice

The Westcott Houghton Disabled American Veterans Chapter 56 meet every month from September to June on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Meetings will be held at the VFW Hall at 50 Jefferson St. in North Attleborough. The next meeting is on Nov. 8 at 730pm.

 

Second quarter taxes due Nov. 1

Second quarter personal property and real estate taxes are due Nov. 1. Please pay on or before Tuesday, Nov. 1 to avoid an interest penalty. Payment can be made in person, by mail, or on-line at www.nattleboro.com/home/pages/online-payments.

 

Oldtown Church outside yard sale

The First Congregational Church UCC of North Attleborough, MA (Oldtown Church) is holding its yard sale on Oct. 22 at the schoolhouse across the street from the church, running from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are a lot of newly donated items to sell, something for everyone. Oldtown church is located at 675 Old Post Road, North Attleborough. Plenty of parking in the church lot.

 

Trunk or Treat at First Baptist

First Baptist Church, located at 75 Park St. in North Attleborough will sponsor Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 5-7 p.m. in the church parking lot. Costumes are encouraged.  Cars will be decorated with candy distributed. Call First Baptist at 508-699-2434 for information.

 

Oldtown Church Pet Vaccination Clinic

The First Congregational Church UCC of North Attleborough (Oldtown Church) will hold its next pet vaccination clinic for dogs and cats from 11 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 675 Old Post Road, North Attleborough. Call or text 508-212-4774 or email eclavette@oldtownucc.org for information, fees and to make an appointment for vaccinations, heart-worm tests, or deworming.

Vaccinations and tests are individually priced, without additional clinic or other fees. Rhode Island residents and walk-ins are welcome. Pre-registration via phone or text is preferred.  Appropriate social distancing is encouraged. Pets will be received outside the building.

All cats must be in carriers and dogs must be on leashes, with muzzles as necessary.  Services will be provided by Dr. Peter Granville DVM. The entrance for the vaccination clinic is in back of the church, to the rear of the parking lot, follow the signs. Please remain in the vehicle until called.

 

COVID test kits available through Board of Health

The Board of Health has COVID-19 test kits available to any resident that would like a box. The test kits will be available at the office Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m.
