Organizers of the North Attleborough Annual Leftover Turkey Trot are seeking local businesses and organizations to sponsor this year’s race, which will support an effort to bring a new World War I memorial to Barrows Memorial Park.
The 2026 Leftover Turkey Trot will be held Sunday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning and ending at North Attleborough Town Hall, 43 South Washington St.
Proceeds from this year’s event will support the purchase of a new bronze “Spirit of the American Doughboy” statue for Barrows Memorial Park. Funds for the project are being collected through the North Attleborough Veterans of Foreign Wars, with a fundraising goal of $25,000.
Businesses and organizations interested in supporting the race can participate at two sponsorship levels:
- Silver Sponsor — $1,000: Includes a medium-sized business logo on race materials and additional advertising opportunities. Silver sponsorships are limited to three sponsors.
- Bronze Sponsor — $500: Includes the business name on race materials and additional advertising opportunities.
The sponsorship deadline is Oct. 1.
In addition to supporting the memorial project, sponsorships provide local businesses with an opportunity to be part of a community event expected to bring runners, walkers, families and spectators into downtown North Attleborough.
The 5K course features a flat start, rolling residential hills and a straightaway finish through downtown North Attleborough. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome. The first 500 participants will receive a race bib, T-shirt and finisher’s medal.
Awards will be presented to the top three men and women overall, along with the top men and women in seven age categories.
