Town of North Attleborough, Massachusetts
On Thursday, April 9, at 6:30 PM, the North Attleboro Planning Board will hold a public
hearing at the Public Works Building, DPW Conference Room, 49 Whiting Street, to
consider proposed zoning changes to the use table that would allow establishments selling
new and used motor vehicles by special permit from the Planning Board in the C-7.5, C-
30, and C-60 zones, as well as the adoption of a new section titled “Motor Vehicle Sales
Establishments.”
To see if the Town will vote to amend its Zoning Bylaws, Table of Use Regulations
Schedule B, Retail and Service, numbers 5 and 5b. Number 5 refers to establishments
selling motor vehicles and/or motor vehicle accessories and boats. Number 5b refers to
establishments selling used motor vehicles requiring a Class II License. The proposed
amendment would allow these uses by special permit from the Planning Board. A new
bylaw section titled Motor Vehicle Establishments accompanies the use table change.
The full text of these proposed amendments can be viewed online on the Planning Board
website under Legal Ads and Hearing Packets, or on the Town’s calendar on April 9. It can
also be viewed at the Planning Department in Town Hall.
