Launch Entertainment is renovating the vacant Babies R’ Us location on South Washington Street to become a new “family fun center,” according to an announcement from the company.
Set to open in June, the site will offer a number of games, including mini golf, bowling, axe throwing, an arcade and sports court, according to the announcement.
Samantha Lorton, director of PR and marketing for Launch, said the high-traffic location was appealing to the company and the 40,000-square-foot building allows for more attractions than other locations.
She added that managers from Launch locations in Norwood, Woburn, Westborough and Framingham will work at the North Attleborough site. It’s expected that this facility will result in more than 100 new jobs for the community. A job fair is planned for April 10 at 5 p.m.
“Launch in North Attleborough will have new, state-of-the-art attractions that some of the other local parks might not have, like full bar and restaurant, axe throwing, Lucky Putt Mini Golf, Formula 1 race simulators, and more,” said Lorton in a statement.
A grand opening ceremony is planned for the final weekend in June, pending construction and attraction installations. Among the renovation work, according to Lorton, is a new kitchen, bar and restaurant, eight bowling lanes, five rooms for parties and events, and a platform for trampolines, a dodgeball court, and more.
The first Launch Trampoline Park opened in 2012 in Warwick, Rhode Island, and the second location followed soon after in Hartford, Connecticut. For more information, visit https://launchfamilyentertainment.com/franchise/.
