Town receives $50K for play structure at Martin School

Through a contribution by state Rep. Adam Scanlon and the commonwealth, the Town of North Attleborough received $50,000 to make the dream of an ADA play structure at Martin Elementary School a reality.

The MSA’s Playground Committee is committed to expanding recess opportunities for students with physical disabilities and providing a fully-accessible ADA structure. This would allow children with and without wheelchairs to play with each other and would help to create a greater sense of togetherness and belonging within the community.

In addition the donation provided by Scanlon and the commonwealth, $11,153.96 has been raised with the assistance from Martin families and local businesses including:

  • Paul Davis, North Attleborough
  • Peak Pediatric, North Attleborough
  • Elliott Physical Therapy, North Attleborough
  • Angel Tree Brewery, North Attleborough
  • Play It Again Sports, North Attleborough

$89,769.69 is still needed to complete the play structure. Any donation is appreciated and is tax deductible. To make a donation, write a check to the Martin School Association noting the donation is for the ADA Play Structure.

Donations are also accepted by Venmo. To make a Venmo donation, please send contributions to @MartinSchool-Association noting the ADA Play Structure in the comments. Please include your or your business’s name and address if you would like a tax deductible letter.
