North Attleborough Around Town: Diabetes fundraiser, Lions Club yard sale

Walk for Diabetes fundraiser

The South Attleboro Village & South Attleboro Lions Clubs are sponsoring an event to fundraise for Mass. Lions District 33S’ Strides Walk for Diabetes to be held at Lee’s Pond, 65 Adamsdale Ave., Attleboro, on May 4, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., rain or shine. The theme is Star Wars’ “May The 4th Be with you.” There will be food, games and great prizes to win. The Bristol Chorale and Orchestra spring concert

The Bristol Chorale and Chamber Orchestra of Massachusetts, under the direction of Maestro Earl Raney, presents its annual spring concert on Sunday, May 5, 3 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 647 North Main Street, Attleboro.

The program titled “We Are the New Day!” will include choral favorites by John Rutter, Billy Joel, Cindy Lauper and the King’s Singers along with beloved African-American spirituals and selections from “Mary Poppins.” Admission at the door is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students. Lions Club hosting indoor yard sale

The Southeastern MA Paws of Comfort Lions Club is hosting an indoor yard sale/vendor fair on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Good News Bible Chapel, 235 West St, Attleboro. The cost is $30 per table or $25 if you bring your own table or don’t need one (no large furniture please). Vendors keep all of the sales. If interested in reserving a 10 by 10-foot space, contact Lorry at 508-446-2992 for more details. Space is limited.

The Lions collect redeemable bottles and cans, can tabs, eyeglasses, including sunglasses, and hearing aids. For pickup, or to drop off, please call either Joyce at 401-487-0034 or Annmarie at 508-223-6039.
