Weekend artist showcase at Preservation Framer

“Nature,” a showing of artwork done by Adonis Deking, will be held Saturday, July 15, from 7-9 p.m. at Preservation Framer, 31 N. Washington St., North Attleborough.

Adonis Deking is an Asian American visual artist specializing in oil paint. His paintings are inspired by his love of animals and the natural world. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Deking’s artwork often features animals and nature depicted in bold colors and intricate patterns. He draws inspiration from the Post-Impressionism art movement.

“I got started painting when I first made a pet portrait for a coworker as a birthday gift. Her reaction to getting a painting is what made me realize how much I enjoyed creating something new in the world and turned into me having about 20 oil paintings made in the span of three weeks,” said Deking in a statement. “My work consists mostly of landscapes and pet portraits. I use my paintings to remind people of the beauty of nature and how life does not have to be all about sitting in front of a computer for eight hours. We are allowed to step outside and enjoy the natural world. Each of my paintings has a reason for being created and has a unique connection to my vision as an artist.”
