The Emerald Square Mall is among others in the area closing until March 29.
In a statement posted to the mall’s web site on March 18, the decision was reached “after extensive discussions with federal, state and local officials and in recognition of the need to address the spread of COVID-19, we will be temporarily closed.”
This measure took effect from 7 p.m. local time on March 18 and will end on March 29.
“The health and safety of our shoppers, retailers and employees are of paramount importance and we are taking this step to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community,” the statement read.
The Wrentham Village Premium Outlets and South Shore Plaza are also closed until March 29.
