3-D Design with Tinkercad—Learn to create 3-D objects using Tinkercad. For children entering grades three and up. A Chromebook or laptop and mouse are required. This event will take place at 10 a.m. in the meeting room.
Free tech help—Volunteer Ben Elliott, a computer support specialist, is hosting free IT hours at the library from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you need one-on-one help with a laptop, smartphone, or general tech stuff, please schedule an appointment by registering at https://befreeit.org/ or ask library staff for help.
Elliot also offers free tech help at Wrentham’s Fiske Public Library on Tuesdays, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Plainville Public Library on Fridays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Do Your Bit with Microbit—For children entering grades three and up. A Chromebook or laptop and mouse are required. Registration is required. This event will take place at 10 a.m. in the meeting room.
Saturday, Aug. 1
STEAM Cart—STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. There will be a different activity out each day. STEAM cart days are for children ages 3+ with an adult. Activities take place in the Children’s Room, are free play and not librarian led. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guys Book Group—A book group for guys, reading both fiction and non-fiction titles at meetings held on a quarterly basis. The next read is “The Address Book: What Street Addresses Reveal about Identity, Race, Wealth, and Power” by Deirdre Mask. Copies of the book available at the library. Anyone who identifies as male is welcome to attend. This event will take place at 10:3 in the meeting room.
Monday, Aug. 3
Take and Make Legos—Come make a Lego creation with your Legos and then take it home. It is recommend that participants bring their own baseplate or box to bring home their creation. Suggested ages: 3+. This event will take place at 10 a.m. in the meeting room.
Wednesday, Aug. 5

Family Puzzle Races—How fast can your family complete a 300-piece puzzle? Recommended ages 5+. Families should consist of two to five members to fit around a table and must include children.
