Central Congregational Sunday School

Central Congregational Church, UCC, an open and affirming congregation, located at 115 Commonwealth Ave.

Attleboro Falls, is now holding Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. in the Christian Ed building on the second floor. The building now has a chair lift to accommodate those needing assistance with stairs.

Children ages 3 years and potty trained through 13 years are welcome to attend. All staff is CORI-checked. There will be Bible lessons, snacks, crafts, games and music. No cost – all welcome – bring a friend. Worship is held on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. from September through May across Towne Street in the Sanctuary.

Pumpkin patch returns to Central Church

Central Congregational Church’s annual pumpkin patch will return, from Sept. 28-Oct. 31. The church is located at 115 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls. The sale hours will be Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The church will carry small tabletop to large carving pumpkins and there is usually a selection of white and blue-green pumpkins, with gourds available.

Proceeds allow the church to support local, nationwide and worldwide non-profit agencies and other causes such as Lenore’s Pantry, Christmas Is For Kids, Kids’ Summer Cafe, Project Bread, Relief Aid for the California and the Carolina Wildfires, Angel Flight New England, St. Claire School – a School for Girls in Haiti, The Interfaith Chaplaincy program at Sturdy Hospital, Food ‘n Friends Kitchens sponsor, Homes for Our Troops and much more.

First Baptist Church yard sale

First Baptist Church will hold a yard sale on Sept. 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sept. 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be furniture, household items, puzzles and more. Call the church at 508-699-2434 for more information.

Oldtown Church roast beef supper 

The First Congregational Church UCC of North Attleborough will host a roast beef supper at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. The menu includes home-cooked roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable, rolls, desert and beverage, served family-style.

The price is $18 for adults, and $9 for children 10 years old and under. $1 of each adult meal served will go to the Food Forward mission to help feed those in need.  Serving begins promptly at 5 p.m., so please plan to check in around 20 minutes in advance.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling or texting Ed at 1-508-212-4774 or online at https://oldtownucc.org/supper-reservations. Take-out orders are also accepted. The Vestry Hall is handicap-accessible through the back ground level double doors. The church is located at 675 Old Post Road, North Attleborough.
