Thursday, Feb. 26

Story Time, ages 0-7—Come to the downstairs meeting room for stories, songs and a dimple craft. This event takes place at 10 a.m.

Free tech help—Volunteer Ben Elliott, a computer support specialist, is hosting free IT hours at the library from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you need one-on-one help with a laptop, smartphone, or general tech stuff, please schedule an appointment by registering at https://befreeit.org/ or ask library staff for help.

Elliot also offers free tech help at Wrentham’s Fiske Public Library on Tuesdays, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Plainville Public Library on Fridays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 28

STEAM Cart—STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. There will be a different activity out each day. STEAM cart days are for children ages 3+ with an adult. Activities take place in the Children’s Room, are free play and not librarian led. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Retirement Milestones—During this retirement-based workshop offered by Chris Ireland from Gorra Financial, learn about these four important age milestones, and what you need to do for each: 50, 59 1/2, 65, and 73. This event will take place at 11 a.m. in the meeting room.  

Monday, March 2

Cow Scavenger Hunt—Find all of the Sandra Boynton cows hidden in the library and get a small prize!Runs every day from March 2-March 28.

Pajama Story Time—Dress in your pajamas for a special evening storytime. Hear stories, sing songs, and do a craft. Blankets and stuffed animals are welcome. This program is best for children ages 3-7. This takes place at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, March 3

Cow Scavenger Hunt—Find all of the Sandra Boynton cows hidden in the library and get a small prize!Runs every day from March 2-March 28.

Take and Make Craft—Grab a bagged craft to make at home. Available while supplies last.

Chess and Checkers Club—Children ages 6+, teens, and families with an understanding of the game are welcome.

Chess will not be taught. Volunteers will be on hand to assist. Email Meredith at momalley@sailsinc.org with any questions. Please note that it is the library’s policy that an adult ages 15 and up remain with children ages 10 and under in the library. The club will meet at 6 p.m. in the children’s room.
