The Town of North Attleborough is asking community members to sign up for its new emergency alert system, Everbridge, to stay updated in the event of an emergency.

Beginning Tuesday, July 1, the town will use Everbridge to communicate with residents and businesses during emergencies and other critical events. Those previously registered to receive notifications via CodeRed are asked to sign up for Everbridge, as the town’s  CodeRed system will no longer be in operation.

Residents can register online at Everbridge’s member portal. Once on the webpage, community members will be asked to create an account:

  • Create a username and password
  • Enter a registration email address. If you forget your credentials, this address is used to send temporary passwords.
  • Accept the Terms of Use by checking the box
  • Click “Create Your Account”

After creating an account, community members will be directed to a page where they can complete their profiles.  Community members who sign up for Everbridge will receive alerts about various events, from severe weather, fires, floods, and other emergencies to more routine announcements, such as road closures and water utility maintenance.

Messages will be sent to residents on their preferred devices, including cell phones, SMS, home phones, email, and more, to ensure real-time access to potentially lifesaving information.

“The town is committed to providing timely and accurate updates to our community members during any emergency event or threat to public safety,” Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Christopher Coleman said. “Everbridge will allow us to share messages  across all types of devices, ensuring residents have access to real-time public information when they need it the most.”

Community members can also download the Everbridge app to create accounts and receive phone push alerts. Anyone with questions or needing assistance signing up may contact Resident Services Representative Chanelle Sae-Eaw at csaeeaw@nattleboro.com.
