On Saturday, April 29, Jon Waterman will present the program “A Journey through the Roots of American Popular Music” at Richards Memorial Library at 118 North Washington St. in North Attleborough.
The program consists of original songs and history, and explores some of the fascinating characters, events and places at the origins of the blues, country, rock and other genres of American popular music. “A Journey through the Roots of American Popular Music” was created by Waterman. The program is part of the series “Live Music Making History Live”, and is supported in part by a grant from the North Attleboro Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. The show starts at 11 am. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
