Parade to thank the healthcare workers at Sturdy Memorial Hospital

Everyone loves a parade, but now here’s a chance to be in one to thank those on the front lines. The United Regional Chamber of Commerce is asking for local companies that have vehicles with a company graphic on them to join a parade to support the staff of Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

The parade will take place on Friday, May 8 at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot near the hospital’s main entrance. URCC member Kevin Cryan of Cryan Landscape Contractors Inc. has been instrumental in organizing the event.

“We’re urging all of you to drive your company trucks — and we’ll have a parade,” wrote URCC President and CEO Jack Lank. “We want to show these superheroes that we support them and appreciate everything that they are doing.”

In recent week the chamber has been collecting snacks at its Plainville office. During the parade, the United Regional YPO board will be delivering the donated snacks to the hospital.

For more information, call the chamber office at 508-316-0861 or email President/CEO Jack Lank at jack@unitedregionalchamber.org.
