FIRE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY
During the week of Sept. 15-22, the North Attleboro Fire Department responded to 116 calls for emergency assistance.
- 65 of these were medical requests, with 48 of these requiring advance life support measures
- 9 motor vehicle accidents with injuries associated
- 4 illegal burning responses
The remaining responses were due to a variety of other factors.
On Sept. 20, companies responded to Falls Pond in the area of Goldie Road for a reported substance flowing into Falls Pond. The situation was mitigated through a combined effort of North Attleborough Public Works, the Environmental Protection Agency, and NAFD.
Please note, the Fire Department Open House will be happening on Oct. 9 between 4-7 p.m. There will be station tours, souvenirs, games, activities, and pizza. Everyone is invited to join us.
