Community members are invited to attend Richard Memorial Library’s second Fireside Chat event with special guest speaker Anthony Amore, director of security and chief investigator at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and author of “The Rembrandt Heist.”
This will take place on Friday, Feb. 6, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Richards Memorial Library’s Reading Room, 118 North Washington St.
At the event, Amore will discuss his acclaimed book, “The Rembrandt Heist,” and share insights into his ongoing efforts to recover 13 masterpieces stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on March 18, 1990.
“The Rembrandt Heist” is a tale of unbelievable friendship, loyalty, criminal genius, and a staggeringly audacious plot to steal one of the world’s most valuable paintings – and return it. This book was named one of Smithsonian Magazine’s Ten Best History Books of 2025.
This event is free and open to all; no registration is required. Please note that this is an after-hours program, and other library services will not be available during this time.
This program has been generously funded by the Friends of the Richards Memorial Library.
