North Attleborough Around Town: Bingo, rummage sales, and turkey dinner

Friends of Council on Aging bingo game

The Friends of North Attleboro Council on Aging will be holding a Bingo Eve on Friday, May 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Raymour & Flanigan, 1190 S. Washington St., North Attleborough. The entry fee is $30 for 30 games – three games per sheet of 10 sheets. Bingo cards and markers are included. Purchase cards at the door, so come early. RSVPs are requested but not necessary, by sending an email to friendsNACOA@outlook.com. There will be prizes for winning BINGOs and raffle items available, as well as a 50/50 raffle. Finger food, desserts, and drinks will also be provided.

Congregational Church yard and spring rummage sales

The Central Congregational Church will hold a yard sale on Saturday, May 18, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on the lawn. The church is located at 115 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls.

Space renters are wanted, call 508-699-7700 or email centralucc@verizon.net for more information. Applications with payment are due at noon on May 16.

The Spring Rummage Sale will be held on May 16-18 inside the Christian Education Building. The dates and times are as follows:

  • Thursday, May 16, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Friday, May 17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 18, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Shop for men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, kitchen wares and seasonal decorations. 

Oldtown Church turkey supper

The First Congregational Church UCC of North Attleborough (Oldtown Church) is hosting a turkey supper, one serving, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. The menu includes home cooked turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, butternut squash rolls, desert and beverage, served family-style.

The price is $15 for adults, and $7.50 for children 10 years old and under. One dollar of each adult meal served will go to the “Food Forward” mission, to help feed those in need in the area. Serving begins promptly at 6 p.m. so please plan to check-in at least 20 minutes in advance.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling Ed at 1-508-212-4774. Take-out orders are also accepted. The Vestry Hall is handicap accessible through the rear entrance. Oldtown Church is located at 675 Old Post Road, North Attleborough.

Lions Club hosting indoor yard sale

The Southeastern MA Paws of Comfort Lions Club is hosting an indoor yard sale/vendor fair on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Good News Bible Chapel, 235 West St, Attleboro. The cost is $30 per table or $25 if you bring your own table or don’t need one (no large furniture please). Vendors keep all of the sales. If interested in reserving a 10 by 10-foot space, contact Lorry at 508-446-2992 for more details. Space is limited.

The Lions collect redeemable bottles and cans, can tabs, eyeglasses, including sunglasses, and hearing aids. For pickup, or to drop off, please call either Joyce at 401-487-0034 or Annmarie at 508-223-6039.
