North Attleborough Around Town: DANA baskets, pet vaccinations and lobster rolls

DANA not hanging flower baskets this summer

For years, Downtown Associates of North Attleboro (DANA) has put out beautiful hanging baskets of flowers on the light poles. The baskets have provided color as well as a happy reminder of summer/ Many residents, businesses, and visitors have commented about the pop of color they bring.

As many have noted the baskets were not hung this year due to the anticipated replacement of the light poles. DANA worked with the Department of Public Works, Briggs Nursery—which plants the baskets—and Rick Miller from Miller’s Farm, who hangs the baskets, waters them and cares for them.

In the end, it was determined that DANA would not do the baskets this year. They are looking forward to creating another beautiful enhancement next year.
