North’s Fisher College campus now up for sale

Fisher College’s campus on Elm Street in North Attleborough is currently on the market, following a shift to online education.

According to a statement issued by Steve Rich, president of Fisher College, the campus has only offered a handful of in-person classes as more students moved to online learning over the last several years. This became more prevalent during the COVID-19 pandemic, when schools across the country moved to remote learning as a means of stemming the tide of infection.

“Like all institutions in higher education, we are adjusting to the post-pandemic academic environment and have migrated most of our course offerings from the classroom to online,” Rich said. “This strategy has allowed Fisher College to attract students not only from Massachusetts, but also from across the United States and from around the world.”

According to Coldwell Banker, the property—which includes a daycare center—has a price tag of $3.2 million. It was placed on the market on Dec. 12.

Fisher College’s main campus on Beacon Street in Boston remains open, along with satellite campuses in New Bedford and Brockton. Founded in 1903, Fisher College is a private not-for-profit institution. It boasts an alumni network of more than 18,000 and offers majors and graduate programs in fields such as management, accounting, fashion merchandising, criminal justice, biology, information technology, and cybersecurity. In-person and online courses are available.
