NA SEPAC Heroes Recognition Program seeks nominees

The North Attleboro Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NA SEPAC) Heroes Recognition Program has been established to honor members of the community for their outstanding service and commitment to children with special needs in North Attleborough. Heroes include North Attleborough School Department Employees – both from general and special education classrooms – educators, para-professionals, counselors, gym, art or music teachers, OTs, SLPs, PTs and other professional staff working directly with and supporting individuals with special needs.

Families of children with special needs along with other members of the community are invited to nominate that very special individual who has made a difference in their child’s life through service, education, at home support, etc. Heroes will be honored at a special reception to be held April 28 at the North Attleborough Middle School Media Center; however, in the event that we still have capacity limitations, this event will likely be hosted via Google Meet by the North Attleborough School Department. Those invited to participate in the event include award recipients’ and their families, nominators and North Attleboro SEPAC Board Members as well as members from the district’s administration and council members.

Award Nomination Submission:

If you know a person who has made a difference supporting students with special needs in North Attleborough, please consider nominating them for either one of The North Attleboro SEPAC HERO awards listed below:

  • School Department Faculty Award: Recognizes a member of the North Attleboro School Department staff – from general and/or special education classrooms – educators, para-professionals, counselors, gym, art or music teachers, OT’s, SLP’s, PT’s and other professional staff – who has worked directly with and supports individuals with special needs.
  • Volunteer Award: Recognizes a student volunteer or “Best Pal” who shows kindness and exemplary support to individuals with special needs.
  • Community Kindness Award: (new this year) Recognizes an individual from the North Attleboro community (outside of the school department) who has shown kindness and exemplary support to individuals with special needs.

All award recipients are asked to attend this event so that they may all celebrate together.

Please contact the Student Services office (508)-643-2160 to request a form and be sure to submit all nominations by April 1. Submissions should be sent via email to khurley@naschools.net or: North Attleboro Special Education Parent Advisory Council John Woodcock Administration Building 6 Morse Street North Attleboro, MA 02760
