Patriot Subaru of North Attleboro collects food for shelter

In the fall of 2020, Patriot Subaru of North Attleboro purchased and donated a supply of blankets to the Community Care Alliance/ Woonsocket Adult Shelter. While organizing that event, they coordinated with Director of Communications and Development, Colleen Joubert and told her to reach out in time of need, and they would make an effort to help.

Early December, Collen did just that. She informed Patriot Subaru that with homelessness rising, and support weakened due to the pandemic, food supplies were getting very tight. In response, Patriot put together a canned good/non-perishable food drive at the dealership.

To increase response, they contacted another local group, Missions That Matter, to join in collecting canned goods and non-perishables. Social media and flyers helped to spread the request to donate. Together 30 boxes of food were collected from Patriot Subaru employees, as well as customers and vendors. Associates from Patriot Subaru team loaded it all up and delivered and unloaded the items at the shelter.
