LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Town, schools could get involved with bus issues

Regarding the School Committee meeting on Oct. 13, I read with some interest the section where the bus driver addressed the committee. She brought up points about the construction around the high school as well as elsewhere in town, parents being in the wrong area and lanes to collect their children, write-ups from drivers that are not acted upon and being late for school pickups due to returning unruly children to school.

Mr. Antonucci responded by instructing the driver to take the concerns up with the bus company. It seems to me that these are legitimate concerns that need to be addressed by both the School Committee and the town, not the bus company. I note that there has been a change in pickup procedure at the Community School to eliminate an issue with parent pickups at the end of the day, as reported here. I seriously doubt that the bus company was the driving force that came up with that solution. Perhaps the School Committee and the town of North Attleborough can get together and address the issues presented to them?
