On Tuesday, Aug. 18, The Village at Willow Crossings in Mansfield celebrated a  milestone as resident Marie Riley turns 100 years old, surrounded by family, friends and members of the community.

A North Attleborough native, Riley has filled a century with family, music, travel, faith and an enthusiasm for life. A graduate of Skidmore College with a bachelor’s degree in music, she has remained active in her church and community throughout her life and continues to enjoy reading, working on puzzles and cheering on her favorite New England sports teams.

Riley is the mother of five children, grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 12—a family legacy spanning four generations.

Those who know her say one of Riley’s most defining qualities is her remarkably positive outlook and zest for life. An avid traveler and huge sports fan, she has maintained her curiosity, interests and connection to those around her.
