Marble Run—Build a Marble Run creation in the Children’s Room.
Free tech help—Volunteer Ben Elliott, a computer support specialist, is hosting free IT hours at the library from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you need one-on-one help with a laptop, smartphone, or general tech stuff, please schedule an appointment by registering at https://befreeit.org/ or ask library staff for help.
Elliot also offers free tech help at Wrentham’s Fiske Public Library on Tuesdays, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Plainville Public Library on Fridays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Adult Summer Reading Program: Make Your Own Bath Fizzy—Kick off adult summer reading at this fun, hands-on program at 5 p.m.. In addition to making a bath fizzy (all materials provided), learn about:
– How to sign up for adult summer reading.
– Getting a summer reading bingo card to achieve bingo(s) that can translate into prizes.
– Learn about two other summer-reading-related programs being held in July and August.
– The end-of-summer celebration on Aug.8

Play-Doh Seashell Imprints—Explore the textures of Play-doh and seashells. See what imprints shells leave on the dough. This program is great for children ages 2+, with an adult.
Saturday, June 27
National Parks Scavenger Hunt—Find all the national parks posters and get a small prize.
STEAM Cart—STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. There will be a different activity out each day. STEAM cart days are for children ages 3+ with an adult. Activities take place in the Children’s Room, are free play and not librarian led. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

National Parks Scavenger Hunt—Find all the national parks posters and get a small prize.
Sweet Art and Mosaics, Ages 4-10—Join this discussion on the life cycle of a plant, then make some seed art to take home. Begin with a short lesson on the life cycle of a plant, including the importance of seeds. Then make a mosaic or any other art form with seeds. Be creative while learning about this important part of a plant’s life. This event will be held at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, June 30
Paper Circuits, Ages (8-12)–Create something cool using copper tape, an LED bulb, and a battery. Ages 8-12. Sponsored by the Friends of Richards Memorial Library. This event will be held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, July 1
STEAM Cart Wednesdays—The STEAM cart will be out between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesdays during the summer. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. There will be a different activity out each week.
