The Board of Public Works and the Park and Recreation Department invite community members to attend the Touch the Trucks event on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the WWI Memorial Park.
At the event, children will have the opportunity to explore vehicles of all types—public service, emergency, utility and construction—all in one place. Children will be allowed to touch, climb and ask questions about their favorite trucks in a safe, supervised environment.
Staff and accompanying personnel will be on site to teach the children about the equipment displayed and how these machines help us and our community. Public Works souvenirs and stickers will also be available for children in attendance. This event is free and open to all. It will take place rain or shine.
