Attleboro-based team Beyond CRC was recognized with the Excellence in Fundraising Award for outstanding efforts for the Jimmy Fund Walk for Dana-Farber presented by Hyundai. Beyond CRC was among a select group of awardees recognized for their fundraising and commitment to the 37th annual event held last October. 2025 was a record-breaking year, with more than $11.2 million raised for adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber.

More than 9,300 walkers and 1,000 volunteers came together for the event. Among them was Beyond CRC. The Excellence in Fundraising Award recognizes the Dana-Farber employee-led team with five or more members that raises the most funds. Captained by Erin Jette and David Thau, this team of 21 walkers raised $226,000 in 2025. The team raises funds for Dana-Farber’s Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer Center—one of the first in the nation focused exclusively on adults diagnosed with colon and rectal cancer before age 50.

“The Walk is made possible by an extraordinary community of supporters whose dedication, generosity, and drive are fueling the progress we’re making at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Every step taken and every dollar raised brings us closer to breakthroughs in research and exceptional care for patients and families facing cancer,” said Jessica Abbott, assistant vice president of the Jimmy Fund.

“Beyond CRC’s unwavering commitment to supporting lifesaving cancer research and care at Dana-Farber reflects the very heart of this event. We are honored to present Beyond CRC with the Excellence in Fundraising Award in recognition of all they do to champion Dana-Farber and the Walk,” added Abbott.

The Jimmy Fund Walk for Dana-Farber has raised more than $197 million in its 37-year history and raises the more funds than any single-day walk in the nation. Funds raised support all forms of adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Hyundai has served as the presenting sponsor for more than 20 years.

The 2026 Jimmy Fund Walk for Dana-Farber will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, bringing together patients, caregivers, and supporters to walk together against cancer.
