The North Attleborough Animal Shelter would like to invite community members to attend its upcoming Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to noon at the North Attleborough Highway Department, 240 Smith St.

Community members are invited to bring their cats, dogs or ferrets to the upcoming clinic to receive a one-year rabies vaccination. Licensed veterinary providers from Wrentham Animal Hospital will administer the vaccinations. The cost is $20 per animal, which includes a $2 donation to the shelter for animal care. This year, Wrentham Animal Hospital will also offer microchips for $45. Please note that only cash will be accepted for both vaccinations and microchip payments.

Please ensure that dogs are leashed and cats/ferrets are in carriers while waiting for their vaccinations.

Additionally, residents who have not yet obtained a 2026 dog license can do so at the Rabies Vaccination Clinic. To receive a dog license, residents must provide the following:

  • Proof that the dog has a current rabies vaccination,
  • A spay/neuter certificate (if appropriate)
  • The fee is $20 for unaltered males and females or $10 for spayed/neutered dogs. Please make checks payable to the Town of North Attleborough.

Please note that dog license fees are waived for the first dog per household for owners aged 70 and older. Proof of age must be provided in person.

This event is open to the general public; however, only residents will receive dog licenses. Contact the Animal Shelter at 508-699-0100 Ext. 2670 for more information.
