Several town offices will be on the ballot when North Attleborough voters head to the polls in April, including a four-way contest for two seats on the School Committee.

According to the Elections Commission, nomination papers have been returned for four of the five seats across different elected boards and committees that will appear on the ballot.

The April election will feature one seat on the Board of Electric Commissioners, one seat on the Board of Public Works, one seat on the Park Commission and two seats on the School Committee. All positions carry three-year terms.

Four candidates have submitted papers for the two available School Committee seats: incumbent Sarah Stone, Katherine Cloutier, Francisco Palmarin and John McAdam. Stone is running for a third term on the committee.

Incumbent Gideon Gaudette is not seeking reelection. His School Committee term began in 2023 after a 16-year career with North Attleborough Public Schools as an assistant principal, principal and director of technology. Gaudette told the North Star Reporter he did not wish to comment at this time on his decision to not seek reelection.

Two candidates have returned papers for the Park Commission: Tom DiFiore and John Reppart.

For the Board of Public Works, Donald Cerrone has submitted papers for the three-year seat.

As of Friday, Feb. 20, no candidate has returned papers for the Board of Electric Commissioners vacancy.

The election will take place on Tuesday, April 7. Polls will be open at the high school from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
