Friday, Jan. 2

Play-doh Seashell Imprints—Have sensory fun with Play-do, seashells and and stampers. This program is great for children ages 2 and up. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Children’s Room.

Saturday, Jan. 3

Snowman and gnome scavenger hunt—Find all of the hidden snowmen and gnomes on the first floor of the library and receive a small prize. This takes place all day in the first floor of the library.

STEAM Cart—STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. There will be a different activity out each day. STEAM cart days are for children ages 3+ with an adult. Activities take place in the Children’s Room, are free play and not librarian led. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 5

Snowman and gnome scavenger hunt—Find all of the hidden snowmen and gnomes on the first floor of the library and receive a small prize. This takes place all day in the first floor of the library.

Story Time—Come to the downstairs meeting room for stories, songs and a simple craft. This event takes place from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 6

Snowman and gnome scavenger hunt—Find all of the hidden snowmen and gnomes on the first floor of the library and receive a small prize. This takes place all day in the first floor of the library.

Take and Make Craft—Grab a bagged craft to make at home. This is an all-day event for kids ages 2-7 and takes place in the Reading Room. Available while supplies last.

Chess Club—The club meets at 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Children’s Room. This is for children ages 6+, teens, and families with an understanding of the game. Chess will not be taught. Volunteers may be on hand to assist. Email Meredith at momalley@sailsinc.org with any questions. Please note that it is the library’s policy that an adult age 15 and up remain with children ages 10 and under in the library.

Free tech help—Volunteer Ben Elliott, a computer support specialist, is hosting free IT hours at the library from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you need one-on-one help with a laptop, smartphone, or general tech stuff, please schedule an appointment by registering at https://befreeit.org/ or ask library staff for help.

Elliot also offers free tech help at Wrentham’s Fiske Public Library on Tuesdays, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Plainville Public Library on Fridays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
