Lions host Barktastic Bingo

The Southeastern MA Paws of Comfort Lions invite the public to play Barktastic Bingo on Friday, Nov. 14 at Raymour & Flanigan located at 1190 South Washington St., North Attleborough. Come fetch some prizes, $25 gift cards and raffles for people and pets. Tickets are $25 per person for three cards, 10 games. Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages included. Lions Craft Fair

The South Attleboro Village Lions Craft Fair is being held on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Good News Chapel, 235 West St. Attleboro. Participating are 35 crafters which include jewelry, seasonal decorations, wooden toys, quilted items, knitted goods and many more. Free admission. There will be raffles, a silent auction, door prizes and a bake table. The kitchen will be open for a light lunch. Anderson House Fair

The Anderson House Vendor Fair will take place on Saturday, Nov. 15, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 15 Fourth St. in Attleboro. The Anderson House is the Attleboro area meeting place for Scouts. Admission is free and the fair will have local vendors, crafters and a wide variety of themed raffle baskets. Vendors include Products of the Hive, Table Runners by Lois, Bickford Embroidery, Pampered Chef, Clay ‘n Bloom Studios, DonnaLew Designs and more. Sweden Fall Fair

The Bit O’ Sweden Fall Fair is returning to the Beacon Covenant Church, 841 North Main St., Attleboro, on Saturday, Nov. 15. The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a breakfast café, Swedish breads, cakes, and cookies, along with frozen meals to go. Find some vintage treasures in Grandpa’s Attic, Grandma’s Parlor or the jewelry table. Swedish imports, Rada knives, and handmade knitted, sewn and craft items will be available along with a Kids’ Corner. For more information, please contact the church at 508-226-6221 or BeaconCov.org.

Village Green Fair

The Central Congregational Church, located at 115 Commonwealth Ave. in Attleboro Falls, will host the Village Green Fair in the Christian Education Building on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hall is handicapped-accessible. The fair will feature cookies, take-out food, boutiques jewelry, handcrafted knits, seasonal decorations and more.

South Attleboro Lions food drive

The South Attleboro Village Lions is holding a food drive on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Good News Chapel, 235 West St. Attleboro to benefit area food pantries in Attleboro, Sough Attleboro and North Attleborough. Drive up to the entrance and someone will be there to accept donations. This is being held in conjunction with the Village Lions Craft Fair. Central Church Apple Pie Day

The Central Congregational Church, located at 115 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls, will host an Apple Pie Day on Nov. 22, noon to 2 p.m. Pre-orders must be made by Nov. 16 by calling 508-699-7700. Cost is $17 each and can be paid by cash, credit card or check at time of pickup. Directions are included for baking with fresh or frozen pies.

Angelcat Haven pop-up shop

Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue is holding an indoor pop-up shop on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 36 Bacon Square, Plainville. Organic catnip mats, fleece catnip beds and toys will be for sale, along with homemade baked goods and a scratch ticket Advent wreath valued at $260 being raffled off. All proceeds benefit Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue.

The raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25. Entrants need not be present to win. The tickets can be purchased at the pop-up shop, via PayPal on the Angelcat Haven-Feline Rescue Facebook page, by emailing info@angelcathaven.com, or by calling Angelcat Haven’s message center at 508-203-4240 for further information. The winner will be announced on Nov. 25. Watch the Facebook posts for pictures of the scratch ticket advent wreath being raffled off.

Historical society annual fair

The North Attleborough Historical Society will hold its annual fair and open house on Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 362 N Washington St, North Attleborough, is the location of the Little Red Schoolhouse and c. 1669 John Woodcock Garrison House.

The Garrison House will feature a guest appearance from George and Martha Washington in the second-floor sitting room. In the first-floor keeping room, a turkey will be roasting over the open fire. A traditional hair will be held in the schoolhouse with gifts, decor, baked goods and more.  A selection of Chocolates by Shirley, vintage Byers’ Choice Carolers, and a Christmas calendar of gift cards will be featured.

The historic dwelling is on the Washington-Rochambeau Trail where Washington, Rochambeau and Lafayette are known to have stopped when the property was used as a tavern. This is on the original Boston Post Road which connected Newport and Boston.
