Eight people have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash reported Friday afternoon, according to the North Attleborough Fire Department.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., North Attleborough Fire responded to the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Towne Street for a report of a multi-car crash. Upon arrival, first responders found three cars involved in the crash.
First responders transported eight passengers to area hospitals. Two passengers were transported to Rhode Island Hospital, one to Hasbro Children’s Hospital and five to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
North Attleborough was assisted on the scene by the Plainville, Attleboro, Mansfield, Foxborough, Norton and Cumberland, Rhode Island fire departments.
Wrentham Fire assisted with two other medical calls in town, while North Attleboro Fire responded to the crash.
