A shooting at the Hampton Inn on Draper Avenue on Oct. 21, has led to the arrest of two suspects following an intensive investigation, according to the North Attleborough Police.
At approximately 10:06 p.m. on Oct. 21, officers from the NAPD responded to reports of gunfire at the hotel. Upon arrival, they discovered multiple shots had been fired into the hotel’s front entry area.
A male victim, described by police as an innocent bystander, was struck in the head. Emergency responders from the North Attleborough Fire Department treated him at the scene before transporting to Rhode Island Hospital. The victim is expected to fully recover.
Detectives from the NAPD, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Unit, worked to identify suspects in the case. Arrest warrants were issued for Erikka Joseph and Joshua Montgomery, both 27 and residents of Attleboro.
On the morning of Nov. 26, North Attleborough detectives, Attleboro detectives, and the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section executed the warrants and arrested Joseph and Montgomery. A search of their residence led to the seizure of a firearm.
The suspects are currently in custody and awaiting a dangerousness hearing next week. They face multiple charges in Attleboro District Court.
