Following an accident in which a truck crashed into the building, Box Seats Restaurant & Bar in North Attleborough has announced that it is closed until further notice.
According to the announcement, which was posted to the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, the closure happened on July 24 due to a delivery truck damaging the exhaust system on the back side of the restaurant.
On July 26, it was announced that after assessing the damage to the exhaust system, Box Seats will be closed until further notice.
“The damage to the hood system is something that can’t be repaired and will need to be replaced,” the statement read. “We will update everyone as soon as we have more information.”
Owned by Charlie Tgibedes, Box Seats is a popular spot in town. He owns another Box Seats in Franklin, which has also been closed since mid-June due to a fire.
“We’ve gotten a number of calls and inquiries of when the restaurant is going to reopen,” a statement to the Box Seats Franklin Facebook page read. “Unfortunately, the exhaust system was damaged during the fire and needs to be replaced. This is not an easy repair and is not something that can’t be done quickly so we are unsure how long we’ll be closed at this time. We’ll let everyone know more when we can.”
