Town Manager Michael Borg and Superintendent John Antonucci have announced that Tim Chouinard has been confirmed as the director of public facilities by the Town Council during its meeting on Monday, Feb. 26.
In this new role, Chouinard will serve as the joint director for the town and school district, where he will be responsible for overseeing, planning, purchasing and other tasks related to facilities’ maintenance.
“Tim brings with him diverse experience in the facilities field that we are confident will be an asset to this new joint position,” Borg said. “We look forward to standardizing and streamlining the maintenance and management of all town and school facilities under his guidance and leadership.”
Added Antonucci, “We welcome Tim to the Town of North Attleborough and to his new position. His role will be imperative to managing the upkeep of our facilities and guiding the planning efforts of our proposed high school building project.”
Chouinard most recently served as the facilities supervisor for the Town of Sharon. In this role he was responsible for the maintenance and management of all town owned buildings. While working for the Town of Sharon, he implemented numerous energy reduction measures to streamline operational and mechanical efficiencies while reducing costs. He also served as town liaison for Sharon Standing Building Committee, assisting in large construction projects.
Prior to working for the Town of Sharon, he held several other positions within the facilities field including working as a facilities manager for the Home for Little Wanderers, tenant coordinator for the Lincoln Property Company, mechanical engineer for BLW Engineers and more.
Chouinard received his bachelor’s degree in facilities planning and management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He holds a certification as a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official and a Building Operator certificate.
