The Town of North Attleborough Water Division has constructed a kiosk for members of sensitive subgroups (pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children under 1 year old or persons with compromised immune systems) to have access to PFAs free water. While intended for these subgroups, the kiosk is open to all North Attleborough and Plainville Residents.
The kiosk is located at 49 Whiting St. (small parking lot at the end of Broad Street). The kiosk is now open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. There is no limit on the amount of water that can be taken, but please be mindful of others who may be waiting.
Please note that the kiosk is now has high resolution cameras recording all activity. The town will prosecute any persons who intentionally damage the kiosk or attempt to enter the rest of the Water Department property.
This project was funded through a grant with the MA Department of Environmental Protection. The kiosk will remain operational until the town’s water system meets the new DEP regulation for PFAS6. The town is currently beginning construction of a filter system for the Adamsdale Well and hope to have it online before the summer of 2022.
