Celebrate the High Holy Days with Agudas Achim

Congregation Agudas Achim will offer services for the High Holy Days, from Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) through the end of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). Services will be in person at the synagogue, 901 N. Main St. in Attleboro, and also live-streamed. Non-members are warmly invited to attend.

  • Rosh Hashanah Evening, 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2
  • First Day of Rosh Hashanah, 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3
  • Second Day of Rosh Hashanah, 9:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 4
  • Yom Kippur Evening (Kol Nidrei), 6:15 p.m., Friday, Oct 11
  • Yom Kippur Morning, 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12
  • Yom Kippur Evening, 5:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12

 Children’s services

  • First Day of Rosh Hashanah: 10:30 a.m.
  • Yom Kippur Morning: 10:30 a.m.

Childcare will be offered on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidrei, and Yom Kippur morning.

Rabbi Talya Weisbard Shalem will be leading services for the congregation, and she invites visitors to get to know the community. Her goal is “to offer services that will provide something meaningful for each attendee, from those who love music, to those looking for spiritual depth, to those who are more humanist or atheist and looking for cultural and communal connections. All are welcome.” She will be joined by Rabbi Ezra D. Weinberg, who will serve as the congregation’s cantor (song leader).

Congregation Agudas Achim is a warm and welcoming community of Jewish and interfaith individuals, couples, and families. As the area’s only Reconstructionist synagogue, the community emphasizes thoughtful participation in developing a practice that respects Judaism’s traditions while evolving them to be relevant and meaningful in modern times.
