The person killed in a single-vehicle crash in Wrentham on June 26, has been identified by the Wrentham Police Department as 88-year-old Marijane White of North Attleborough.

Police responded to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Route 104 and Eagle Brook Boulevard shortly after 4 p.m. and reported that White was found deceased upon arrival. According to the crash report, White was traveling east on Route 140 at a “high rate of speed” when her vehicle left the roadway around Elysium Street and struck a hill.

“The vehicle went airborne again, striking a utility pole, flipping multiple times, striking the guardrail, then coming to rest on its roof in a body of water down an embankment,” read the crash report.

K9 dogs and drones were used to determine if any additional victims were ejected from the car, but White was determined to be the only person involved in the crash.

Route 104 between Creek Street and Elysium Street was closed until approximately 8 p.m. that same day as a result of the accident.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Wrentham Police Department, and this article will be updated as more information becomes available.
