Why are you running for this position?

I’ve had the privilege of serving as a steward of the town’s best interest. As a member if the Finance Committee, I’ve worked hard to ensure our town’s finances are managed responsibly.  I’m eager to continue my work to ensure the town maintains it’s strong fiscal standing in infrastructure.

If elected, what issues would you like to focus on?

If re-elected, I would like to continue to advocate for increased road maintenance. To date, our Department of Public Works had done an exceptional job of filling potholes, repaving roads and overall maintenance. However, I would like to see us further improve upon on maintenance schedule and practices. Additionally, I would continue to support the recognition of our town’s Purple Hart status by finding unique ways to highlight and honor our veteran community. Veterans are a pivotal demographic within our town, and I would like to see us recognize then in any capacity that we can.

What sets you apart from other candidates?

I’m extremely inquisitive and in constant pursuit of knowledge surrounding current events in town and why decisions are made. A vote for me is a vote for a candidate who will dedicate their time to thoroughly researching measures and initiatives brought to the Town Council to ensure they represent the wishes of our residents.

What are some areas that the town has improved upon and what, in your opinion, remains to be done?

The town has replaced aging equipment and infrastructure at our schools, including a furnace, water heater, roof and ADA-accessible playground equipment. If re-elected, I would continue to address deferred maintenance head-on to ensure we are effectively staying up to date with taking care of our facilities.

Being part of a board requires one to be a team player. Does your background lend you to work well in this environment?

At the Neurology Center of New England where I work, our motto is “Teamwork makes the dream work” and that is the same sentiment I bring with me to Town Council meetings. As a town councilor, we have to sit on at least two subcommittees. By being on two different committees with a variety of individuals, I’ve learned how to put feelings and ego aside to accomplish the work that aligns with our Town Council and community goals.
