City Spirits joins Lions Club for charity work
The SEMA Paws of Comfort Lions Club is having a wine for a cause fundraiser. Throughout October, City Spirits will donate 100% of their profits from the sale of Rough Day Cabernet Sauvignon & Rose to the club. All proceeds will go towards the community and Lions charities. Make a purchase at either City Spirits, 271 E Washington St., North Attleborough or at City Spirits, located at 524 Pleasant St., Attleboro.
Three-day rummage sale at Central Congregational
Central Congregational Church, located at 115 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls, is holding its annual fall rummage sale from Oct. 26-Oct. 28. The sale will take place inside the Margaret Kay Fellowship Hall. The hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 26, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 28.
This year’s sale will include gently-worn mens, womens and childrens clothing, displayed on racks and tables throughout the hall. Shoes, boots and pocketbooks will be displayed on the stage. Lions Club hosts ‘Candy Take Back’ event
The South Attleboro Village Lions Club and The South Attleboro Lions are sponsoring the Greater Attleboro Leo Club’s “Candy Take Back” event on Friday, Nov. 1, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at AHS Principal’s Loop, 1 Blue Way, Attleboro. The public is encouraged to donate unwanted candy from Halloween to the Leo Club. Candy will be distributed to veterans’ hospital, Veterans Day activities and senior centers. Comedy show at Elks Club
On Saturday, Nov. 2, the South Attleboro Lions are sponsoring a comedy show with Dave Kane called “Jokes My Irish Father Told Me.” Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.salions.org or at the door.
