A longtime teacher and technology specialist will now take on the role of Interim Director of Technology, according to an announcement from the North Attleborough Schools.
Kirshenbaum has worked with the North Attleborough Schools since 2011. He has been a computer science teacher and technology integration specialist at North Attleborough Middle School (NAMS) since 2018. He also taught science at NAMS. Gideon Gaudette is the current director of technology and recently announced his resignation to pursue a similar role at the Whitman-Hanson Regional School.
Throughout his different roles, Kirshenbaum has gained experience preparing him for this new position—supporting teachers in technology integration and education, working closely with students, administrators and community members, and designing and hosting professional development opportunities, the announcement read.
“I am excited to continue my career as a part of the North Attleborough community,” said Kirshenbaum. “I look forward to building on the foundation we have and advancing the use of technology in our district to enhance student learning.”
Kirshenbaum holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in Education from Clark University.
“We are thrilled to have Mr. Kirshenbaum assume the position of Interim Director of Technology,” said Superintendent John Antonucci. “He has proven that he has the skills necessary to excel in this role and we look forward to all he will do to ensure our students are prepared for a technologically integrated world upon their graduation from our district.”
