A driver was hospitalized following a vehicle crash near Metcalf Road.
According to Fire Chief Christopher Coleman, the accident was reported at around 10 a.m. Monday morning. The two vehicles, which were very badly damaged, had collided at the intersection of Metcalf Road and S. Washington Street.
“Only one person had to be transported [to the hospital],” said Coleman. “They were trapped for 10 minutes and had to be extricated by taking the roof and doors off with the Jaws of Life.”
The accident is under investigation by the North Attleborough Police and Mass State Police Accident Reconstruction Team. One person was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious leg injuries.
