With the current national emergency, several town offices have been temporarily closed until further notice. Below is a complete list of those offices and departments impacted.
Park and Recreation
The Town of North Attleborough Town Manager in coordination with the Health Department and the Park Commission has as a precaution to slow and reduce the spread of COVID-19. All North Attleboro parks, ballfields and playgrounds will be closed indefinitely. These areas include, but not limit to the following:
- World War I Park & Zoo
- Mason Field Playground
- Julia’s Garden play Areas
- Ruth Rhind Playground
- Community Field Playground
All playground equipment at recreational facilities are off limits due to reports that indicating the virus can live for three hours in the air and up to nine days on plastic and stainless playground equipment.
Facilities are open to the public for walking and running on trails.
During this time, as you seek outdoor recreation opportunities, the Recreation Department requests that you heed all instructions from the CDC, State and local authorities regarding social distancing and follow basic health precautions.
North Attleborough Senior Center
Effective immediately,the North Attleborough Senior Center is closed to the public.

Monday – Thursday—8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Friday—8 a.m.-12 p.m.
Department of Public Works
Due to the State of Emergency and concerns of spreading COVID-19, NA Dept. of Public Works offices will be closed to the public effective Tuesday, March 17, and until further notice. If making payments in person, they can be made by personal check, certified bank check, or money order and left in the Drop Box in front of the building. For your convenience, envelopes are available in the orange newspaper box for drop box payments. Water and Sewer invoices can be paid by phone with a credit card.

North Attleborough Housing Authority
The North Attleborough Housing Authority office will be closed Tuesday, March 17, following the Governor’s Emergency Alert. We expect to re-open on Wednesday, March 18 at 9 a.m.
All appointments are canceled. Either Kat or Dan will be calling to reschedule. If you have any documents to drop off just put them in the drop boxes, or mail them. Please call ahead before coming to the office so we can tell you about a new drop-off box inside the office.
For your health and safety, and that of our employees, only emergency and urgent work orders will be completed until further notice. These practices will minimize contact and risk of anyone’s exposure. You should still call with all work orders so we get those on the list for when we can get those done. Please be aware that there may be a shortage of staffing at any time.
Also, those of you who got notices of inspections for March 17, they have been cancelled. We will notify you as soon as they are rescheduled. That might be several weeks from now.
Woodcock Administration Office
Due to the State of Emergency and concerns of spreading COVID-19, the Woodcock Administration Office will be closed to the public effective immediately and until further notice. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Human Resources at 508-643-2175 or School Administration at 508-643-2100.
Richards Memorial Library
The Richards Memorial Library is closed until further notice. Items may continue to be brought to the book drop. Due dates are extended. All deliveries between Massachusetts libraries are suspended as of March 16.
Elections Department
The Elections Department will not be processing passport applications effective immediately until further notice. People looking for an acceptance facility should check on Travel.state.gov.
Recycling Center
The Recycling Center will be closed on Mondays and Fridays until further notice. It will be open by appointment only on Saturdays for the following items only:
- Propane Tanks
- Freon-bearing supplies
- Tires
- Recliners and sleep sofas

Animal Control Shelter
The Animal Control Shelter is closed until further notice. All donations can be dropped off in front of the main doors during the day. There will be no Wednesday evening openings until further notice. Anyone with questions please call the shelter at 508-699-0128.
North Attleborough Electric Department
Due to the State of Emergency and concerns of spreading COVID-19, NAED offices will be closed to the public effective immediately and until further notice. NAED can accept credit card payments online and by phone. Customers may also use our drop box located outside the main entrance if necessary. To start and stop service, please call our main number 508-643-6300 and our customer service will work with you.
