For the week of Feb. 14-21, the North Attleborough Fire Department was requested at 79 incidents for emergency help.
- 52 were the result of emergency medical services, of which 40 required Advanced Life Support measures.
- Seven motor vehicle collisions resulting in injuries.
- The remaining calls for service were the result of a variety of other reasons including false alarms, electrical or wiring concerns, outside/uncontained brush fires, alarm system activations, and lockouts.
Over several different days, units were called to investigate strong odors of a possible fuel spill in the North Washington Street area of the Ten Mile River. NAFD personnel worked in conjunction with the Department of Environmental Protection to remedy the situation and help determine cause.
