Senior Center launches Snow Angels program

The North Attleborough Senior Center is launching Snow Angels, its new voluntary snow removal service for seniors and people with physical disabilities living independently. The program’s goal is to help bring together residents who want to keep their sidewalks clear, but are physically unable to do so, with volunteers who want to help their community.

The Senior Center is currently seeking those who would like to volunteer to shovel for the program and those who are in need of assistance.

To become a Snow Angel, you must be at least 18 years of age and older or between the ages of 13-17 with a safe mode of transportation. Snow Angels will need to provide their own shovels. Those who need a shovel can let the center know when they register.

To register for the program, contact Janis Johns at 508-699-0131. Those who register will be paired with a nearby neighbor. Please note that volunteers will be contacted via email with confirmation details when you have been assigned a neighbor.

If you are a senior resident of North Attleborough living independently in your own home and need help with shoveling stairs and creating a path to the street, please consider registering for the Snow Angels program by contacting Johns at (508) 699-0131.
